1. About Cool Runnings

Cool Runnings Towing LLC, doing business as Cool Runnings Towing & Junk Cars, is a locally operated mobile towing, roadside assistance, and junk car buying service based at 3710 Rue Nichole in Algiers, New Orleans, Louisiana. We are locally owned and fully insured. We provide emergency towing, flatbed towing, accident recovery, boat and RV towing, jump start service, lockout service, flat tire changes, fuel delivery, winch-out recovery, and cash-for-junk-car purchases with free tow-away across Greater New Orleans and surrounding parishes on both banks of the river. We dispatch to your location — we do not operate a customer-facing physical shop.

2. Services

Scope of Services

Cool Runnings provides mobile towing, roadside assistance, and junk car purchase services including, but not limited to:

• Emergency towing — wheel-lift and flatbed
• Flatbed towing for classics, luxury, AWD, 4WD, EV, and low-clearance vehicles
• Accident recovery and post-collision transport
• Boat and RV towing with proper trailer rigging
• Jump start service and mobile battery replacement
• Vehicle lockout service — no-damage entry for all vehicle types
• Flat tire change and spare mounting
• Emergency fuel delivery (gas and diesel)
• Winch-out and vehicle recovery — mud, ditches, soft shoulders, and off-road
• Cash purchases of junk, wrecked, flooded, and non-running vehicles with free tow-away

Service Availability

Services are available across Greater New Orleans and surrounding Louisiana parishes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Service availability in specific areas may vary based on truck availability and conditions. We reserve the right to decline service in areas outside our service zone or in circumstances where service cannot be safely or appropriately performed.

Dispatch and Response

We make every reasonable effort to dispatch to your location as promptly as possible and to honor ETAs communicated at the time of booking. In the event of unforeseen circumstances — such as severe weather, hurricane conditions, flooding, traffic incidents, road closures, parade routes, or unusually high call volume — we will notify you as soon as possible and provide an updated ETA.

3. Quotes and Pricing

Quotes provided by Cool Runnings are estimates based on the information you provide (service type, vehicle type, location, and tow destination, or vehicle details and condition for junk car purchases). Final pricing may vary if additional circumstances are discovered upon arrival — such as vehicle positioning requiring special equipment, additional mileage beyond the quoted distance, or vehicle conditions that differ materially from what was described.

We will inform you of any price changes before performing the work or completing a purchase. You are under no obligation to proceed if pricing changes are unacceptable to you. Upfront pricing is confirmed before we hook up or begin any service, and junk car cash offers are confirmed before pickup.

4. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a safe and successful service call, customers agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your location, vehicle (year, make, model, drivetrain type, condition), and the nature of the issue
• Remain with or accessible at the vehicle location until our driver arrives, or notify us if you must leave
• Ensure the vehicle is accessible and that our driver can safely approach the service location
• Follow all safety instructions provided by our driver, including staying clear of traffic on interstate or highway shoulders
• Notify us promptly if you need to cancel or if conditions at your location change before our arrival
• Provide accurate tow destination information, including shop name and address
• Disclose whether your vehicle is AWD, 4WD, EV, or has low ground clearance so we can dispatch the appropriate equipment
• For junk car sales: provide a valid government-issued photo ID and the vehicle title (or other acceptable ownership documentation as agreed in advance) at the time of pickup

Cool Runnings is not responsible for delays, complications, or cancelled offers arising from inaccurate location, vehicle, or ownership information provided by the customer.

5. Vehicle Condition and Release

By requesting towing or transport service, you represent that you are the owner of the vehicle or are authorized by the owner to arrange for towing. You agree that Cool Runnings may move the vehicle to the destination you specify.

We take reasonable care in loading, transporting, and unloading your vehicle. However, Cool Runnings is not responsible for pre-existing damage or mechanical conditions present before the tow. Our drivers will note any visible pre-existing damage before loading.

For flatbed towing, customers acknowledge that AWD, 4WD, EV, and low-clearance vehicles must be transported on a flatbed to avoid drivetrain or undercarriage damage, and agree to disclose their vehicle's drivetrain configuration when requesting service.

6. Junk Car Purchases & Vehicle Title Transfer

When you sell us a junk, wrecked, flooded, or non-running vehicle, the following additional terms apply:

• Seller representations: You represent and warrant that you are the legal owner of the vehicle (or are fully authorized by the owner to sell it), that the vehicle is free of undisclosed liens or encumbrances, and that you have the legal right to transfer ownership to us.
• Cash offers: Cash offers are based on the vehicle's described year, make, model, condition, and current market value for parts and scrap. Offers are estimates until the vehicle is physically inspected. If the vehicle's condition differs materially from what was described, we may revise the offer or decline the purchase before pickup.
• Free tow-away: Free tow-away is included as part of the agreed purchase price and is conditional on the sale being completed at pickup. If the sale does not proceed for any reason (including failure to produce title or ID, or materially misrepresented condition), a standard tow fee may apply if you still want the vehicle moved.
• Title and ID required: A valid government-issued photo ID and the vehicle title in your name are generally required to complete a purchase. If you do not have the title, contact us in advance so we can let you know whether alternative documentation is acceptable under Louisiana law for your specific situation.
• As-is sale: All junk car purchases are made on an "as-is, where-is" basis. Once payment is delivered and the vehicle is in our possession, the sale is final and ownership transfers to Cool Runnings. You waive any claims related to the vehicle's condition, mileage, or operability after transfer.
• Personal belongings: You are responsible for removing all personal belongings from the vehicle before pickup. Cool Runnings is not responsible for any items left in the vehicle after the sale is complete.
• Title transfer obligations: Cool Runnings will handle the title transfer and disposal of the vehicle in compliance with Louisiana state law. By selling the vehicle, you authorize us to complete any required filings with the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles or other state agencies.

7. Payment

Payment for towing and roadside services is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept major forms of payment as communicated by our dispatch team at time of service. Pricing is confirmed upfront before work begins. Invoices for completed service are available upon request.

For junk car purchases, payment is made in cash to the seller at the time of vehicle pickup, after verification of ID, title (or agreed documentation), and vehicle condition.

8. Limitation of Liability

Cool Runnings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the services provided or the use of this website, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of revenue, or damage to property not directly caused by our negligence.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of services performed shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim, or, for junk car purchases, the cash amount paid for the vehicle.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

9. Website Use

The content on this website — including text, images, graphics, service descriptions, the Cool Runnings logo, and all other materials — is the property of Cool Runnings Towing LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our express written permission.

You agree not to use our website for any unlawful purpose, to transmit any harmful or malicious content, or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of our website or systems.

10. Privacy

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
